Does
TrustedId Work?
TrustedId is a lot like other
services out there that dedicate their time to protect your
identity. If
you spend any time looking for information on identity
theft, you will find that these services have saved people
literally thousands of dollars and many heart
aches. Getting
a service like TrustedId is not only a good idea, it’s like
having an insurance policy that guarantees the protection of
your identity.
If you don’t think it could happen to you, you’re
wrong. There
was a gentleman that lost everything because of his identity
being stolen.
Someone stole his identity to have a surgery done that cost
$40,000. The
gentlemen lost his business and had to file
bankruptcy. He
is now being collected on by the hospital for a surgery he
didn’t even have. If he had a service like
TrustedId, this would have not happened.
What TrustedId
will do is monitor your credit account and remove you
from junk mail offers. They also offer a
special service that is included called
CreditLock™.
This feature allows individuals to stop the 3 credit
bureaus from releasing your information to third parties
without your permission. This would require the
individual that has the service with TrustedId to unlock
their credit reports before applying for
credit.
Pros of
TrustedId:
-
The service only costs $10 a month.
If you
would like to pay a year at a time you will get the
service for $8.25 a month. They also offer a
family plan that covers all family members in your
household including children for either $19.99 a
month or $15.83 a month if you pay
annually.
-
TrustedId offers a $1,000,000 limited
warranty to cover out of pocket costs associated with
identity theft not covered by IDFreeze.
-
They also offer credit card monitoring, junk
mail removal and identity theft specialist that you
can contact by phone or email that will answer any
questions you have about your protection.
Cons of
TrustedId:
-
When you purchase the monthly plan for $10
for the individual plan or the family plan at $19.99
a month you have to agree to a minimum of 3
months.
-
When researching their site, I could not
find any testimonials from past
customers.
However, I also did not find any negative information
about the company either.
In conclusion, if you are looking to get a
service that will protect your identity, then this would
be a great service to go with. TrustedId has shown that they are
a viable company and that they do protect their
customers. If you are interested in checking out their
